Notes From The Pastor’s Office #9 – “Hooper vs. Gibson”

The 9th episode of the 2nd generation of my vlog is up and ready for your perusal. I am looking at what two movies have to tell us about “salvation.” If you're a fan of The Passion of the Christ, my apologies in advance. Enjoy.

‘Carter’s Story’ (VIDEO)

I wanted to put a video together after our trip to Florida. Just as a way to say thank you for how much it meant that everyone did what they did for us in the last weeks of Carter's life. I never got around to it. This semester, I am taking a class called “Digital

POLL: What do you think about ‘Monumental’?

The big day is tomorrow!  Monumental opens in some theaters, across the country, tomorrow.  I just wanted to get your thoughts.

‘Monumental’, Crowdmouth, No Longer Doing Business?

I was promised a conference call with Kirk Cameron if I completed some tasks like watching the trailer for Monumental and recruiting my friends to do the same.  It appears as if that won’t be happening. As far as I can tell, that promise was made as part of a partnership between the movie’s producers and

Why is Mike Seaver Staring at That Wall?

I was promised a conference call with Kirk Cameron, and I am almost sure that isn’t going to happen.  As I was attempting to follow-up on that promise by searching the Facebook page of Monumental for information, I ran across this odd picture of Kirk Cameron staring at a wall–through some glass.  I hope he finds

The Facebook profile for Monumental includes some photos (publicity?) having to do with subjects of the movie.  This is one of them, a picture of the National Monument to the Forefathers–in Plymouth, MA–at sunset.  I have to admit, it does paint a pretty skyline.

“Monumental” UPDATE: Mike Seaver Shut-Out of “Factor”

I was all set. I had my blogging app–Blogsy–open. My audio recorder was all set. I was really rethinking all the effort I was putting into covering this movie. Then…nothing. There is no explanation for it, but Bill O’Reilly’s FOX News show taped a segment with Kirk Cameron and will evidently not air it before

UPDATE: Perkins’ FRC Stands “With Kirk” Cameron as “Monumental” Approaches

The Family Research Council–headed by Tony Perkins–has begun a campaign for their supporters on Facebook to show solidarity with Mike Seaver on Monumental. The idea is that you “like” and “share” this (the photo above) through your Facebook account.  As of 1:13pm, there were 85 people who had commented on the photo and nearly 1,500 who have

BREAKING–“Monumental” Failure: Kirk Cameron Booted Twice by Bill O’Reilly

I have wasted two hours of precious DVR space recording Bill O’Reilly’s show over the last two nights.  The reason?  Kirk Cameron was supposed to be on to promote Monumental. For two nights straight, the segment has failed to air.  I guess Kirk and crew can cross their fingers and hope for tomorrow.
