“If we continue to reject one another…”

The above pictured book is Sharing Sacred Space by Benoit Standaert.  I am reading it as part of a class on interreligious encounter.  It’s mainly about how important dialogue between different religious traditions is.  Many believe this practice is dangerous.  Put another way, Standaert says:

If we continue to reject one another, we have to admit that we are being unfaithful to our own religious tradition, which says that there is only one true God.  We all know that our faith in God cannot be reduced to faith in our tradition, our religion, our cultural community.  That is why a true encounter can never threaten our faith in God.

Yep, that’ll do.
